Fenton Art Glass Silent Night on Cobalt Blue Hammered Colonial Lamp

We got really luck when one of our customers asked if we could sell a few pieces for her. One of my favorite items from her collection is the Fenton Silent Night on Cobalt Blue Satin glass hammered colonial lamp. aside from the fact the hand painting is wonderful, the colonial style lamps are really hard to fact. This lamp is from the 1994 Christmas Collection. Designer Frances Burton has taken Cobalt Blue and created a velvety surface to showcase her beautiful scene. Using metalic paints with a soft shimmer, she has captured the stillness and clarity of a deer who has been touched by the "Star". Her design was the first edition in the Christmas Star Series. Each lamp was a limited edition piece with this lamp being #262 of 500 pieces. The can see larger photos by visiting our Fenton Glass Lamp section or by clicking here.

Fenton Art Glass Peacock and Ferns Emerald Green Carnival Glass Vase

This striking 14-1/2'' Peacock and Ferns Vase is handcrafted in Emerald Green Carnival glass. It is one of the largest carnival glass vases to be made by Fenton Art Glass. In October 1907, Fenton Art Glass Company entered the marketplace with an exciting new line of glassware called ''iridescent ware'' which featured vivid, changing metallic hues on highly-patterned pressed glassware. Stories told about how this glassware was used as midway game prizes and the phrase ''Carnival glass'' was coined. When Fenton resumed production of their iridescent glass in 1970, we decided to call it "Carnival glass'' and have done so ever since. The secret, both in 1907 and now, of Fenton Carnival glass is the special spray of metallic salts on the glass while it is very hot. They continue to make Carnival glass the ''old fashioned'' way, and we never cease to marvel at the rainbow of colors and the interesting hues. You can see larger photos of the great vase by visiting our website or by clicking here.

Fenton's Key Lime Glass - 5 new Hand Painted Pieces

One of our favorite colors in Fenton Art Glass, Key Lime, has five new hand painted pieces as part of the Summer Bling offering. These new pieces cover everything from Figurines and  Baskets to a Flip Vase. Teh Fenton Figurines in refreshing key lime glass are a cuddle kitten and elephant. Both feature a hand painted design by Michelle Kibbe. The hues of blue and purple of the florals look really great against the key lime glass. The baskets and flip vase have a delicate look in both the petals of the flowers and the thin ribbon that encirles the entire piece. As part of the Summer bling offering, each of these pieces was made in limited numbers:

New Summer Bling Items Just Arrived

We unpacked all of the new items from the Summer Bling offering that arrived Friday. I really like the Fenton hand painted French Opalescent glass pieces. The talented artist at Fenton Art Glass start with a basic French Opalescent glass item and use a combination of airbrush and traditional painting techniques. The first steps is to airbrush a pale green background for the floral design. Next they use the traditional painting to create a floral design by Kim Barley. All three pieces were made in limited quantities:

These great pieces will be sure to be fast sellers! We'll be featuring some of the other items from the limited quantities made for the Summer Bling offering this week. Until then, you can see more of the Summer Bling Offering by visiting our website, BerryPatchGifts.com or visit our just arrived page by clicking here.
